Katie Lydon, originally from London, founded her New York interior design firm, Katie Lydon Interiors in 2002. Prior to that, she worked with Mark Hampton for two years. Katie attended the Wimbledon School of Art in London followed by Cambridge University, where she received a BA in history.

Katie’s work has been featured in national and international design publications, including Domino, Elle Décor, Tatler, Metropolitan Home, Lucky, The New York Times, and Town & Country. Katie has also appeared on LXTV’s Open House New York and George to the Rescue. In November 2009, Metropolitan Home named Katie one of their ten “Rising Design Stars,” and in June 2010, Elle Décor included Katie in their “A-List Top 5 Designers to Watch.”

Katie has been active with House of Speakeasy from its inception.
