Benjamin Dreyer, author of the New York Times bestseller Dreyer’s English, is the recently retired copy chief and managing editor of the Random House division of Penguin Random House. Over the course of his thirty-year career he has worked with innumerable authors, including Michael Chabon, E. L. Doctorow, Peter Straub, and Elizabeth Strout, whose last seven books he has copyedited.
