Sheri J. Booker

Sheri J. Booker is an award-winning author, educator, and poet. She is the author of Nine Years Under: Coming of Age in an Inner City Funeral Home, winner of the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Literary Work by a Debut Author. One Woman One Hustle, a collection of poems about self-love and self-assurance, was published in 2019. She currently teaches Writing and Digital Media at Morgan State University. Her most recent book is a children’s book titled Imagine a Brown Girl.
