About Amitava
Amitava Kumar was born in Ara, India, and grew up in the nearby town of Patna. He is the author of several works of nonfiction and fiction, including the novel Immigrant, Montana. His two latest novels, My Beloved Life and A Time Outside This Time, are now out in paperback. He lives in Poughkeepsie, New York, and teaches at Vassar College.
