Annabelle Gurwitch

Annabelle Gurwitch is a self-described Jewish mother, lung cancer survivor and patient advocate, terrible ukulele player, and unrepentant cat lady who lives in Los Angeles. In her memoir The End of My Life Is Killing Me (out March 17, 2026), Gurwitch explores what she calls the “unexpected joys of a cancer slacker.” Gurwitch is an actress, activist, and New York Times bestselling author of six books and a two-time Thurber Prize finalist. She co-hosted the fan-favorite TV show Dinner and a Movie on TBS and is a regular commentator on NPR. Her essays and satire have appeared in The New Yorker, The New York Times, WSJ, Los Angeles Magazine, The Washington Post, and elsewhere. Her books include I See You Made an Effort, a New York Times bestseller, and You’re Leaving When?, a New York Times Favorite Book for Healthy Living.
