Executive Director

I lead House of SpeakEasy, a New York City-based nonprofit grounded in the belief that reading and writing empower individuals to understand their rights, express their identities, and engage boldly and empathetically with the world.

Our programs champion literary culture and educational equity—from our Bookmobile, which seeds home libraries and book gardens across NYC, to our monthly literary cabarets and classroom engagements that support writers as educators and educators as writers. As we grow, my focus is on deepening our community impact: defining and funding opportunities where a love of literature leads to lasting educational, civic, and personal outcomes.

In addition to leading House of SpeakEasy, I have guided nonprofit organizations as an executive director, director of development, board chair, board member, and consultant. My work has stabilized finances, supported leadership transitions, and built engagement strategies for mission-driven teams. I continue to explore how strategic partnerships, creative programming, and strong leadership can advance equity through education and the arts.

As interim CEO of Storefront Academy Charter Schools, I improved finances by $4 million, stabilized enrollment, developed a performance management system, and relocated the Harlem schoolhouse to a treelined block in just 13 months. In 2024, I helped launch a nonprofit protecting lawyers’ rights by building organizational and financial foundations. I’ve completed leadership programs including altMBA and Harvard Business School’s Sustainable Business Strategies. I’ve served as board chair for Hunger Free America, transitioned NYDG Foundation toward medical wellness, led the rebranding of Haiti Cardiac Alliance, helped start a cause marketing firm, and guided The Art Directors Club in its partnerships with major brands.

A lifelong learner, I bring curiosity and rigor to every chapter of my career. I live in NYC, where I am the proud mother of two young women and a frequent walker of a mixed hound.
