Manager of Educational Initiatives
Annie Kiyonaga is a reader, writer, and educator based in Queens, New York. She manages educational initiatives at House of SpeakEasy and has built her career at the intersection of curriculum, literacy, and teacher support. Previously, she taught seventh-grade English at a New York City charter school and served as project manager of content and teacher engagement at ReadWorks, a national nonprofit focused on reading comprehension.
Annie studied English and art history as a Morehead-Cain scholar at UNC-Chapel Hill before earning a Master of Education in human development and education with a concentration in literacy and languages from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
