Chief of Staff
Elsabet Jones is committed to House of SpeakEasy’s belief that the ability to read and write enables a person to know their rights, to be confident in their identity, and engage boldly and empathetically with the world around them. Elsabet first joined House of SpeakEasy working on the Bookmobile. Through this work, she gained first-hand experience with the operations behind SpeakEasy’s programming.
She brings this on-the-ground perspective to her work as Chief of Staff. In this position, she supports SpeakEasy’s staff and programs to build synergies among our programs, furthering SpeakEasy’s mission to connect writers and audiences, on stage, in schools and on the road.
Prior to joining House of SpeakEasy, Elsabet worked as a staff editor for the Council on Foreign Relations. She is also a weekly contributor to Frontier Market News, a newsletter on emerging markets.
